Well, what can I say? Now that school is in full swing, my Mediterranean diet has turned into fast food and sodas. I know, I know I should pack my lunch but I don't have access to a microwave and PB&J or lunch meat EVERY DAY is a bit much. I do have to do something though.
One good thing, summer is ending so all the ice cream and summer junk food will leave my diet.
(Let us have a moment of silence for the closing of Rita's on September 16th....................AMEN.)
My willpower is very low these days. I don't know why but I will eat something and feel bad about it all the while I'm eating it. Crazy, I know. I lost like 40 lbs on the South Beach diet after I had my daughter. I don't think I can give up my pasta now though. That was tough. Plus, I wasn't in nursing school.
Hey, all my Mommy's out there that had a baby pouch belly stand up and let me know how you sent it packing. I'm dying over here.....

I know exactly what you mean about the baby pouch..and all that good stuff..my little boy is two now..and i weigh more now than I did when i was pregnant with him!
The bad thing about it..was i had lost quite a bit of weight before I got pregnant..then got pregnant..and afterwards my started having so many personal problems..with husband...other two kids..etc..so as a result I got depressed..and food became a REAL source of comfort..and now i find myself eating even when I'm not hungry..
And I'm telling you I eat the richest..greasiest..foods ..and drinks that I can find..stuffed crust pizzas..cheesecakes..(saw you mention that)..Marie Callendar pies..you name it..but unlike you..I don't feel guilty while I'm eating..so be grateful that you do..
But I notice now that the weight I have gained..is causing me so much fatigue..and pain..in my knees..ankles..so it's not worth it..I am all about loving the skin you are in..but when it causes health concerns..it's time to do something about it..but my question is..How?
How do I un-learn all of my negative behaviors..especially when they taste ..and feel so good..It is definitely a state of mind..because I know that no matter how many diets you go on..if you are not mentally ready..you won't be successful..
Part of me wants to lose the weight and feel healthy..and the other half..well no thats a lie..
1/4 of me wants to lose the weight..the other 3/4's just wants to eat...
